Jennifer Kaelin

Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Kaelin is chief financial officer at Pendo, where she oversees finance, operations and human resources teams. Jennifer loves the thrill of helping a company grow and has spent 15 years in executive leadership roles at venture-backed and public companies. Prior to Pendo, she spent a decade at SciQuest, where she served as vice president of finance through its 2010 IPO and later became CFO. Earlier in her career, she worked as corporate controller at Art.com and held finance roles at Moduslink, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jennifer is a certified public accountant and holds a master’s degree in accounting and bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Raleigh with her husband and three children who exhaust her with their teenage demands and issues and thrill her with high school baseball games.

Darryll Pines, Ph.D.

Dean and Nariman Farvardin Professor of Aerospace Engineering

Darryll J. Pines has served as dean and the Nariman Farvardin Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Clark School since January 2009. He first arrived in 1995 as an assistant professor and later served as chair of the Department of Aerospace Engineering from 2006 to 2009. Pines’ current research focuses on structural dynamics, including structural health monitoring and prognosis, smart sensors, and adaptive, morphing, and biologically-inspired structures, as well as the guidance, navigation, and control of uninhabited aerospace vehicles. He is a fellow of the Institute of Physics, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and has received an National Science Foundation CAREER Award. Pines received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
